Indie School is a registered and accredited non-government school providing an alternative education for young people school years 9-12.

Waymaker commenced in 2025 at our Carrum Downs Campus. Waymaker is a flexible pathway for young people who have disengaged or are at significant risk of disengaging from school (also known as “school unable” or “school refusal”) due to social and emotional challenges.

Waymaker is a place where young people can Belong – where they are known, loved and connected in community. It is a space where young people come to Believe – where they build their courage, confidence and begin to tell a new story. It is a journey they go on to Become – where they are empowered to grow into the fullness of who God has designed them to be.

We know that some young people struggle to engage with school, so we’ve created a highly adaptable and personalised program that provides the extra support for students right at their point of need.

Flourishing Teens (yr 7 to 10)
Flourish Foundations (Life Skills & Work Skills focus).

Personalised Learning Solutions and Pathways. Individual and small group support based on interests, strengths and needs. At Flourish we support young people online, at our learning centre and with outreach programs.

ReadySkills is an organisation that introduces its students to foundational concepts for life post school in a low pressure environment. Co-created alongside students and ran by engaging facilitators who are acutely familiar with the challenges around navigating the transition to adulthood, this program builds fundamental skills that are vital for their future.

We offer three different programs within our organisation. They cover practical life skills which include but are not limited to, changing a tire, basic automotive maintenance, nutrition and health, resume writing and careers, first aid and home maintenance. All of our programs are completely flexible to meet the learning needs of the students and are designed to re-engage students who may struggle with a traditional learning environment. By using tactile and kinesthetic learning styles as well as being able to prove to students the relevancy of the content in their everyday lives, we find increased levels of interest and receive consistent positive feedback from students.

Impact Community ACADEMY is an independent school for Years 10-12. Designed for students who don’t thrive in traditional learning settings, we offer flexible, supportive, and wellbeing-focused education. Through applied learning, QCE, and Short Course subjects, we help young people build confidence, independence, and practical skills to prepare them for life beyond the classroom.
