- Profile
With 3 campuses in western Sydney, Blacktown, Fairfield and Campbelltown, Warakirri serves young people 15 – 22 who have disengaged from mainstream educational pathways.
The school is accredited to offer Year 10 RoSA and Year 11 & 12 HSC.
Students typically face a variety of challenging circumstances which have caused them to leave mainstream schools including bullying and peer relations issues, mental health challenges, gender dysphoria or transition, complex family situations, interface with the Juvenile Justice system, trauma, early parenthood or refugee experiences.
With very small classes and a flexible adult learning environment, no fees, no uniforms and breakfast, lunch and all learning resources provided the College is very accessible. Each campus is within 5 minutes walk of a railway station.
Graduates progress to employment, TAFE or University.
There is a dynamic outdoor education program and an accessible academic curriculum such that many graduates are the first in their family to complete Year 10 or the HSC.
With a full time Counsellor on each site and only 100 students per campus, professional and caring staff, students find school to be a welcoming and supportive place to be.
