Bendigo FLO

The Bendigo Flexible Learning Option (BFLO) is administered by Weeroona College Bendigo on behalf of the five Bendigo Government Secondary Colleges and Kalianna Special School. Bendigo FLO was brought into operation in January 2017 and is located in a commercial building with access to local amenities and services. Bendigo FLO’s mandate is to provide an educational reengagement program for Tier 4 students living in Bendigo and enrolled at one of the six government partner schools. Bendigo FLO is a positive, inclusive, and therapeutic environment in which the child is at the centre of her/his learning. Our values are Safe, Kind, Inclusive, Learning for Life (SKILL). Bendigo FLO provides personalised educational re-engagement that supports children (who have been, or are at risk of being, excluded from schooling) to develop the capabilities, literacy and numeracy skills, and self regulation needed to transition happily and sustainably back to their local school to complete their Year 12 or its equivalent. Bendigo FLO also provides Hands On Learning, supported by Save The Children Australia. Student participation is not time limited.
