Our Pathways Campus caters for senior secondary students Years 10-12, offering the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL). VCAL is a hands-on course designed to create an individual pathway for students, leading to employment or further studies.
Classes are small, with 12 students working with a Teacher and an Education Support staff member, supported by a dedicated Wellbeing Team. We provide a practical and engaging curriculum for students looking for a pathway to further study and/or employment, including traineeships and apprenticeships.
An important element of the VCAL is to develop Industry Specific Skills (ISS) and students are required to complete a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course. A VET certificate is evidence of the student’s competence in their chosen vocation.
At Berengarra School, our students develop Industry Specific Skills and complete VET certificates onsite. The school provides the opportunity to complete Certificate II and III in Retail whilst gaining valuable work experience in our onsite café. Our school’s VET Teacher and Café Manager offer a safe and supportive environment for our students to achieve success.
