St Laurence Flexible Learning Centre (SLFLC) seeks to respond to the needs of young people (Grade 9 and 10 students) by providing a place and opportunity for young people to re-engage in a suitable, flexible learning environment.

SLFLC delivers the NESA curriculum and a Work Ready program which includes a range of Vocational Education & Training (VET) courses.

The aim of the Deception Bay Flexible Learning Centre is to respond to the complex needs of disenfranchised young people who have been marginalised from mainstream education. Deception Bay Flexible Learning Centre (DBFLC) is a place young people can come if you want to finish your secondary schooling in a friendly, supportive, fun and flexible environment.

Students, in conjunction with their teachers, youth workers and education support workers, discuss career aspirations and draft learning plans with articulated pathways to further education and/or vocational education and training.

Ipswich Flexible Learning Centre (IFLC) is an educational space that aims to respond to and support the needs of young people who experience complexities in their lives to continue their journey in education. IFLC is a secondary school that caters for young people in years 7 to 12 from Ipswich and surrounding areas.

Learning groups are small with a focus on literacy and numeracy skills embedded in young person directed and negotiated curriculum. It provides numerous educational opportunities, those from the Australian curriculum and Cert qualifications in the arts industry. The school offers life and social skills through adventure based learning and school camps.

The Outreach programme offered opportunities to build trusting relationships and educational pathways for young people of Ipswich wanting to engage in flexible learning choices.

Meaningful programs targeting people living with a disability, and other disadvantaged and vulnerable people.

Our Tutoring Program is a free service offered to families in our communities who experience financial hardships. Sessions are for one hour and they are held on Monday to Thursday from 3:30pm – 6pm at your preferred location, or online.

Volunteer tutors assist children and young people with…

• Core Maths, Science, and English subjects
• Transition to high school
• NAPLAN
• Higher School Certificate preparation
• Basic reading and writing for children and young people with low levels of literacy

Girls only school years Prep-10. Carinity provides flexible learning within an independent christian school environment. Each grade has small classes that have a youth worker in and out of the classroom, trauma informed trained teachers, case management.
