Doxa School Bendigo is a Catholic Flexible Learning Setting established to meet the need for an alternative option for education for vulnerable youth in the wider Bendigo region. Our aim is to re-engage students who are at risk of not completing their compulsory years of education because of a range of challenges or barriers that affect their ability to engage in learning in a mainstream school setting. It provides supported and flexible education options for vulnerable students 13 years of age and older whose educational journey has been a challenging one for them.

Cheshire School is an interim specialist school for primary aged students with complex social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. Cheshire School essentially provides a “stepping stone” that is aimed at enabling students to successfully re-integrate into a mainstream school, equipped with a healthy self-esteem, established work habits and acceptable ways of behaving and managing challenging situations.

Our Pathways Campus caters for senior secondary students Years 10-12, offering the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL). VCAL is a hands-on course designed to create an individual pathway for students, leading to employment or further studies. Classes are small, with 12 students working with a Teacher and an Education Support staff member, supported by a dedicated Wellbeing Team. We provide a practical and engaging curriculum for students looking for a pathway to further study and/or employment, including traineeships and apprenticeships. An important element of the VCAL is to develop Industry Specific Skills (ISS) and students are required to complete a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course. A VET certificate is evidence of the student’s competence in their chosen vocation. At Berengarra School, our students develop Industry Specific Skills and complete VET certificates onsite. The school provides the opportunity to complete Certificate II and III in Retail whilst gaining valuable work experience in our onsite café. Our school’s VET Teacher and Café Manager offer a safe and supportive environment for our students to achieve success.

Berengarra School is a specialist independent secondary school for students in Years 7-12. The School is non-denominational and co-educational for students with social and emotional challenges and disabilities. The School currently has two campuses in Box Hill and Chadstone. The Box Hill Campus caters for students in Years 7-10 and the Pathways Campus is a senior campus catering for students Years 10-12. Our highly experienced staff deliver the Victorian Curriculum, Victorian Certificates of Applied Learning (VCAL), Vocational Education and Training Certificates (VET) and School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SBATs).

CCCares is an alternate education and support program for pregnant and parenting students from the ACT and surrounding districts. We provide flexible delivery of learning and content, towards the receipt of an ACT Senior Secondary Certificate and certified competency-based training. Students are usually aged 14 to 25 and come from diverse backgrounds. CCCares operates every weekday, in an open plan learning environment. We have classrooms, kitchens, playrooms, sleep rooms, change rooms, a medical suite, fitness room and outside play areas on site. CCCares offers transportation to students and their children from their homes to school and back again each school day.
