Our team had developed high quality and adjusted learning environments that facilitate inclusion, engagement, and academic outcomes for students. Classrooms are designed specifically based on a collaborate environment per the students academic interests. This takes form either as a hairdressing salon, industrial workshops or sport facilities.

One on one support is provided to students year 10-12 by teachers, youth workers, case workers and counsellors.

SJFLC offers an inclusive and non-discriminating learning community to young people, who for a variety of reasons, are disenfranchised from mainstream education. Young people are enrolled from a variety of genders, sexualities, language, cultural and religious backgrounds, with particular sensitivity to indigenous culture and from backgrounds of socio-economic disadvantage. In year levels 7-10, an integrated learning approach is applied and utilises the capabilities and five key domains from the Victorian Curriculum. Young people enrolled in Senior School participate in the accredited Victorian Certificate of Education (VCAL). In addition, young people also participate in Vocational Education and Training (VET) opportunities which provide meaningful work experiences to equip our young people with the skills they will require as they transition into further study or work pathways.

The Edmund Rice Flexi School provides an educational and wellbeing service for young people aged 12 – 21 years of age. The Davoren Park campus is considered a senior campus for the flexi school because it provides resources for students at the school years of 10-12+. With particular focus on SACE competition, while also being hands on and excursion based.

This campus aims to re-engage young people who are looking to access a different way of learning. Students can complete their secondary schooling and access a variety of SACE subjects, internal and external VET (Vocational Education Training) courses and vocational training such as White card, First aid Certificate, and other options.

FAME aims to re-engage young people who have either disengaged with their schooling or who are looking to access a different model to mainstream schooling. FAME FLC provides an educational service for young people aged 12 – 19 years of age where they can complete their secondary schooling and access a variety of SACE, internal and external VET (Vocational Education Training) courses. FAME creates an environment where young people can access a safe environment, experience a high level of wellbeing and receive educational support to help them achieve outcomes in their Personal Learning Plans (PLP).
