Celebrate Learning is a 3 day/week alternative to school that re-engages youth mentally and socially through fun, flexibility and friendship building activities. We provide engaging electives, study support and a welcoming community to inspire and encourage teens on their journey of self-discovery. While being encouraged by our great team to participate in activities, teens can opt out anytime to focus on their personal interests and priorities. This freedom helps teens to develop self-confidence, self-direction and self-care. Our priority is helping disengaged highschool students struggling with test anxiety, academic burnout, ADHD, bullying or general disinterest in schoolwork. We help them re-engage through fun, social learning and goal focussed mentoring.

Croydon Community School is a stand-alone co-educational government school for young people in years 7-12 who are seeking an alternative school program. It is situated in the outer east of Melbourne and students travel from a wide geographical area to attend. The YES program is based upon the idea that there are many ways and places that learning can occur and that mainstream education is not for everyone. YES operates as a ‘school within a school’ with its own time table and broad and diverse curriculum offerings from years 8 to 13.

At Prace College, we expose our students to a variety of industries through work placements, projects, career quizzes, Real Industry Job Interviews (RIJI) and trade tasters. Student support is achieved through informal conversations with the student about current hobbies, past interests and future dreams. And, our teachers also play a role in helping to guide students in deciding on potential pathways when they leave PRACE College. Over time, student insights are collated in a Career Action Plan – a roadmap for the student to follow as they start looking towards a future career.

The Young Parents Education Program (YPEP) offers pregnant teens and young parents the opportunity to complete their education in the flexible learning environment. The students students work to obtain a Year 12 qualification, a Certificate 2 industry qualification and pathways plan to smoothly transition to further education, training or employment. Students are encouraged to bring their babies to class with them, and a fully-qualified child care support worker will be onsite during each class to assist with care.
